Jakov Hazan Borrowed Money From Jozef Avram Ruso

A written statement of Jakov Hazan, given in the presence of the witnesses, that he had received the money from Jozef Avram Ruso which he would return in six-month period with interest. The statement was written in Hebrew and translated by Samuel Adanja.

Jahiel B. Ruso Requested the Prevention of Children To Swim in Danube

Jahiel B. Ruso, the president of the Assembly of the Jewish Religious-School Community, requested the Administration of the Town of Belgrade to appoint a number of constables on the Danube waterfront who would watch over the children and prevent them from swimming in the water due to the very high waters.

Jahijel B. Ruso Filed a Lawsuit Against Juda J. Kojen Over Debt

The Court in Valjevo communicated to the Administration of the Town of Belgrade regarding the lawsuit which Jahijel B. Ruso, from Belgrade, represented by Moša Solomonović, had filed against Juda J. Kojen, a merchant from Obrenovac, over debt. The Court in Valjevo requested the appointment of experts to determine determine if the signature on the bill of exchange was truly Kojen‘s.

Jakov Kazas Sentenced For Insulting Petar Dikić

The Administration of the Town of Belgrade sentenced Jakov Kazas with six days of imprisonment for insulting Petar Dikić, the gendarme, by calling him a donkey and a drunkard. Kazas appealed against that sentence to the Ministry of the Interior, which rejected it.

Jakov Baruh Released on Parole

The Administration of the Town of Belgrade requested the Dorćol Precinct to investigate the family situation and the conduct of Jakov Jeušua Baruh who was sentenced to tree-year of imprisonment for rape. Based on the report, the Ministry of Justice approved to Baruh the release on parole.

Jahijel Ruso Traveled to Pančevo in May 1865

Upon the request of Sara Elijas, the Administration of the Town of Belgrade issued a certificate that Jahijel B. Ruso departed to Pančevo on 16th May 1865, and returned the next day. In addition, David B. Ruso was appointed the apprentice to Jahijel in November that year.
