Samuil Alkalaj Filed a Lawsuit Against Haim Ruso Over Debt

The Belgrade Town Court requested repeatedly the Administration of the Town of Belgrade to take the oath from Haim Ruso that his statements related to the lawsuit Samuil Alkalaj had filed against him over debt, were true. The Administration failed to take the oath, thus the Court requested the Administration to collect the court fees from him, but it couldn‘b be accomplished because Ruso had moved away to Gradište.

Settlement of Jews From Turkey In Serbia

Correspondence of the Ministry of the Interior, the Administration of the Town of Belgrade and the Dorćol Precinct regarding Mata and Leon Levi who had come from Janjina many years before, despite the order which banned the settlement of Jews from Turkey. Upon the request of the Ministry, the Dorćol Precinct issued a certificate on their good behavior.
