The Jewish Laborers of the 14th City District

The head of the 14th City District reported subsequently to the Firefighting Command on the Jewish laborers on 14th May 1941. Each morning 59 Jews reported regularly at the roll-calls. Pavle Bruk was released from the forced labor, Isak Altarac was forwarded to another district and Farhi Mojis was hospitalized, according to his family.

Tax Collection For the Year 1889

The Dorćol Precinct compiled a list of citizens who got their taxes decreased or were exempted from paying taxes for the year 1889. Jakov Kazes, David De Majo, Samuel Melamed, Ferdinand Bril were on the list. The file also contained a list of foreigners residing in the Dorćol area from whom taxes were charged for the first half of the year 1889. David Farki, Nisim Benaroj, Simon Bernfeld were on the list.

The Assembly of the Jewish Religious-School Community reported to the Administration of the Town of Belgrade on the number of born and deceased persons in the period from 1st to 10th November 1893: Lazar Adanji got a baby girl, Josif Hajim a baby boy; Samuilo and Avram, the sons of Jakov Nahmijas, Isak Jakov Afar, Flora Ditrihštajn and Rakila, a daughter of Moša B. Jakov, died.
