Arrangement of the Jewish Cemetery

Te report of the commission formed to survey the Jewish cemetery in Zemun together with the representatives of the Jewish community Jakov Foli and Jozef Hercl. The commission concluded that the stones on the tombs should be removed and that there should be built a house and a wall so that the cemetery wouldn‘t be seen. Since the ground was loos, the Community was advised to built a high wall around the cemetery.

Abraham Majer Requested Permission to Sell Gunpowder

Abraham Majer requested the Petrovaradin General Command to be granted permission to sell gunpowder to the Turks. His request stated that the gunpowder was being smuggled to Turkey causing the damage to the State finances. The Command rejected the request because the export of the gunpowder was prohibited.
