David Medina Left To Austria During the Turkish Bombardment of Belgrade

Isak Aron Alkalaj and Jakov Alkalaj testified that Isak Levi, a former partner of David Medina, had left to Austria during the Turkish bombardment of Belgrade and that from there he had demanded Sadik Natan Koen from Šabac to send him a case of merchandise from a store of his former partner. The statements were filed for verification to the Administration of the Town of Belgrade.

Dragutin Nikolić Filed a Lawsuit Against Lazar Levenzon

The Belgrade Town Court communicated to the Administration of the Town of Belgrade regarding the lawsuit Dragutin Nikolić, a painter, had filed against Lazar Levenzon, a merchant, over failing to cover the compensation agreed for taking care of his house during the Turkish bombardment of Belgrade. The Administration was requested to take the oath from Levenzon and confirm, in the presence of Nikolić, that he had already paid the agreement amount . Nikolić afterwards acquitted his claims.

Dimitrije Simić Accused Samujel Alkalaj Over Debt

Dimitrije Simić, a representative of Merkada Nisim Padro, requested the Administration of the Town of Belgrade to seize a passport from Samujel Alkalaj to prevent him from leaving Belgrade until he settled his debt. Simić asserted that Alkalaj, with no permanent residence address, was in Belgrade for a wedding. The Administration did not seize the passport from Alkalaj because Simić submitted no proof of the debt.
