Josif S. Almuli, a merchant in the Main Street, requested the Administration of the Town of Belgrade to permit him to sell toxic materials in his store, in line the Law on the Sanitary Profession.

Jahijel Pijade Requested a Permission to Open a Tavern

Jahijel Pijade, a tailor, requested the Administration of the Town of Belgrade to grant him a permission to open a tavern in the Jevrejska Mala (a Jewish quarter). Pijade submitted a certificate issued by the Belgrade Municipal Court on his good conduct and on his material situation.

Jahijel and Neta Ruso Evicted from Mijailo Barlovc‘s House

Jahijel Ruso, legal representative of his wife Neta, complained about the decision of the Dorćol Precinct which ordered them to leave the house of Mijailo Barlovac. Ruso had already sued his landlord Barlovac for breaching the lease contract. The Administration rejected the complaint.

Josif Pardo Committed Suicide

The Administration of the Town of Belgrade informed the Požarevac District Headquarters that it failed to collect the court fee from Josif Pardo because he had committed suicide and his wife lived in Požarevac. The District Headquarters reported that Padro‘s wife had died as well and that she possessed no resources to cover the court fee.

Jakov L. Levenzon requested the Administration of the Town of Belgrade to let him collect the rent from the tenants of the house of the late Nastas Vujić, over debt. The Court reached a decision to let him collect the rent until the full debt settlement.

Jakov Levenzon, a merchant, was interrogated over refusing to pay a rest of a store tax for the year 1883/84. The Belgrade Municipal Court exempted Levenzon from paying that tax.

Jakov Levenzon Complained Against Mileva Vujić Over Debt

Jakov L. Levenzon filed a complaint to the Administration of the Town of Belgrade against Mileva, a widow of his debtor Nastas Vujić, over keeping a six month rent for leasing a house of her late husband, knowing that he was authorized to collect that amount until the debt settlement of her late husband.

Jakov Levenzon Complained Over Rent Collection From Nastas Vujić

The Administration of the Town of Belgrade reported on the complaint Jakov Levenzon made to the Ministry of the Interior against the Administration for not handling him over the rents collected from Nastas Vujić over his debt settlement. The Court brought a decision that Levenzon, as a creditor of Vujić, should collect the rent for debt settlement.

Josif Kampus Applied for the Passport

The Ministry of the Foreign Affairs informed the Administration of the Town of Belgrade regarding the application for Serbian passport submitted by Josif Avram Kampus from Romania. Josif, son of the late Avram Kampus from Belgrade, stated in his application that in 1864 he escaped to Romania without passport together with many other Serbian families.

Jozef Alkalaj and Moša Farki Complained Over Confiscated Horses

Jozef Alkalaj and Moša Rubin Farki filed a complaint to the Administration of the Town of Belgrade against the Town Precinct which had confiscated the horses they had purchased from Rosa, a wife of Dr Bril. The Administration informed them that the horses were still registered as a property of Dr Bril, and registered for the army needs, thus they couldn‘t be sold, so he were to address to Roza Bril on that matter.

Jahiel Ruso Complained Against Bohora Kalmi

Jahiel Ruso, a merchant, filed a complaint to the Administration of the Town of Belgrade against the Town Precinct which forwarded him to the Civil Court regarding the lease contract he had concluded with Bohora, a widow of Isak Kalmi. Jahiel claimed that Bohora resided in the house of Moša Elijas longer than agreed and requested the Administration to move her out.

The Jewish Religious School Community reported on the number of born and deceased members of the Community from 20th to 30th November 1887. Samuilo Elazar, Avram Demajo, Hajim Gabaj got sons, Avram Adanja, Manahem Amar got daughters and Majir Levi got twins. Josif, son of Leon Jakovljević died.
