Number of Jewish Residents in Zemun in 1931

The Old Catholic Episcopal Office requested the Government of the City of Belgrade for the allocation of land for the cemetery in Zemun. The file contained data on the number of inhabitants and their religion in Zemun. According to the 1931 census, 28.083 inhabitants resided in Zemun, out of which 506 were the Jews. The Jewish Religious Community had its own cemetery, as did the other churches.
