The Jewish merchants filed a complaint, regarding their arrest for opening their stores on Sunday. Consequently, the Jewish Community presented the complaint to the Ministry of the Interior, thus the Ministry allowed the Jewish merchants to complete their business obligations on Sundays and holidays in closed stores.

Watch Stolen From Mihailo Krstić at the Fair in Zaječar

The Court in Zaječar communicated to the Administration of the Town of Belgrade regarding the pursuit after a thief who had stolen a watch from Mihailo Krstić from Kragujevac at the Fair in Zaječar in 1857. Haim Bencion or Jakov Hanaf, both from Belgrade, had been suspected for that crime. The Court dispached their descriptions to the Administration and requested to search for them in the town.

Withdrawal of a Request to Be Released From the Serbian Citizenship

The Administration of the Town of Belgrade requested the Ministry of the Interior to reach a decision regarding the requests several Jews had filed their to be released from the Serbian citizenship. At first they requested the release from the Serbian citizenship, but afterwards they dispatched the communication and asked for the cancellation. They explained that they had been forced under weapons to sign such requests, but the rabbi from Jedrene, Jakir Jiron, encouraged them to withdrew the requests.
